BREAK BREAD TOGETHER—Initially funded by Meals on Wheels, Break Bread Together began twenty-eight years ago at the First Presbyterian Church. It is now funded entirely by local contributions.

MISSION—To help combat world hunger on a local level by providing one meal a day to area recipients who are sixty-five years or older, who are indigent, and who, without caregivers, are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Meals are provided under contract from Pinevale-Lomax School.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS—Volunteers, who work in pairs, may sign up to deliver meals for two days per month; under special arrangement, volunteers may deliver food to one individual daily. Meals are picked up at First Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. and delivered between 11 a.m. and 12 noon.
